Jessica Crandall is a singer and actress based in NYC. Her singing has been called “exquisite” and “extraordinary” (Inside Press), her acting “radiant” (theaterscene.org) and “luminous” (theaterscene.net). Jessica was nominated for an Innovative Theatre Award (Outstanding Featured Actress) for her performance as Cassandra in Agamemnon at La MaMa. Her CD with Ellen, “I So Liked Spring: Jessica Crandall Sings Music by Ellen Mandel,” can be found on Amazon, Spotify, CDBaby and YouTube. Last summer Jessica starred as Alma in VOICETheatre’s production of the Tennessee Williams play Summer and Smoke in Kingston, NY.
Hailed for her “excellent voice and spot-on performance” (Huffington Post), her “bright sound and affecting delivery,” and for delivering a “captivating performance” (Voce di Meche), French mezzo-soprano Emma Lavandier has performed at Carnegie Hall (Weill recital hall), Symphony Space, the Sheen Center and the Cell Theatre in New York City. Highlights include the Witch (Hansel and Gretel), Rosina (Barber of Seville), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Orlovsky (Die Fledermaus), Nicklausse (Les contes d’Hoffmann), and Orfeo (Orfeo ed Euridice). Emma recently joined the Choeur Vittoria Île-de-France, Ensemble Quadrivium and Paris vocal ensemble Ligeia. She is delighted to be returning to Pangea with Ellen Mandel and Jessica Crandall.
Ellen Mandel has written many songs to poems by E.E. Cummings, Seamus Heaney, W.B. Yeats, and others, and music for over 90 plays. She’s released six song CDs and a theater music collection, and received many best music nominations for her theater work. Her songs have been performed all over the USA, and in England, Ireland, Scotland, and Germany. The Royal Conservatory of Toronto and Trinity College of London have published her songs. Melanie Haskins is a violinist and music teacher who loves to share and collaborate. In New York, she regularly performs with So&So and Concerts in Motion, and the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra. She has performed throughout the United States, Thailand, Austria, and Germany. Melanie is passionate about music education and currently teaches at both Third Street Music School and P.S. 89 The Liberty School. Melanie is grateful and glad to be performing with Ellen, Jessica, and Emma at Pangea again.
