Imperfect Pairings will explore the playful lyrical interaction of opposites with electrifying new arrangements for tunes “All or Nothing at All”, “Angel Eyes vs. Devil May Care”, “Mad About the Boy” vs. “I Enjoy Being a Girl” and many more.

This will be Kay’s 5th Pangea appearance, following her critically acclaimed shows on Greek Myth and Mystery; Misogyny and Miss-Fits, and Broadway and Beyond.

“Kay Kostopoulos is a fine performer who will leave you enchanted and informed.  New York is lucky to have her.”… Andrew Poretz, Theatre Pizzazz, NYC

“…Beautiful voice with a wide range… Ms. Kostopoulos is equally skilled on ballads and uptempo material…vocals that range from powerful to tender, a lot of spots for Jewkes to display his versatility and swinging ideas”

Jazz Critic Scott Yanow…”Velvety vocal work”Billboard.

Noel Jewkes is a living legend, revered by musicians and critics alike.  At 85 he still plays with all the passion and sensuality of his youth.   This will be his 4th visit to New York City, and his 3rd date at Pangea.  “Listening to the majestic phrasing and harmonic adventurousness of Noel Jewkes is almost like hearing the entire history of modern jazz in a single evening. No wonder he is revered by musicians, critics, and music lovers alike as the premiere Saxist-by-the-Bay.”

… “Noel Jewkes is a genuine find–a fluent Youngian on tenor and clarinet whose solos are long, sure, twisted phrases with surprising turns and knowing resolutions...Jazz critic, Gary Giddins.
