Virtuoso vocalist Mafalda Minnozzi can be found in rotation on WBGO and other prominent jazz radio stations, on tour in clubs and festivals in the USA, Europe and Latin America, and now, back on stage at Pangea with her show “Impronta Latina”. A veteran of stages on three continents, she blurs the line between classic song and improvisational adventure. Her recordings in the USA feature Don Byron, Joe Locke, Dave Liebman, Rogerio Boccato, Helio Alves, Harvie S, Will Calhoun and others while her collaborations in Brazil with Milton Nascimento, Leny Andrade, Joao Bosco, Guinga and Roberto Menescal will speak to the repertoire that blends Italy, the USA and Brazil with a commanding stage presence that makes the repertoire all hers. In the show “Impronta Latina”, or Latin fingerprint, she’ll be joined by her longtime guitarist and arranger Paul Ricci with Caetano, Lins, Morricone, Martino, Modugno, Menescal, Porter, Jobim, Horta, Brel and the poets of Naples in original jazz arrangements. As a duo, the two have recorded 5 CD’s and performed extensively together in a very unique and dynamic arranging style.

Hailing from the club scene in NYC, Paul has toured with both Astrud and Bebel Gilberto, Harry Belafonte and others and has long been musical director, guitarist, producer and arranger for Mafalda Minnozzi and has a solo album with some of NY’s most legendary names such as Anthony Jackson, Steve Jordan and Randy Brecker.
