2023 Bistro Award recipient & 2023 MAC Nominee, Tim Connell returns to Pangea for a 4th year in a row with his critically acclaimed show, LUCKY ME! Connell offers an evening full of song, story, poetry, wit and genuine Irish sentiment. You’ll feel as if you’ve taken a journey to the Isle of Green within the intimate setting of Pangea. The show not only celebrates the joy of being Irish it also includes the joy of being human. Joining him onstage will be long-time collaborator, Musical Director James Followell and musical guest Seoyeon Im on violin / fiddle. Originally directed by Steven Petrillo. Creative consultant, Mark Chmiel.
The evening includes songs from contemporary Irish singer/songwriters (Gilbert O’Sullivan, Damien Rice, Van Morrison), Broadway (George M!, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Finian’s Rainbow), and of course some good ol’ reliable pub songs.
What critics have said in the past about LUCKY ME!:
Alix Cohen – www.womenaroundtown.com:
“When Tim Connell begins “Look to the Rainbow” (Burton Lane/E.Y. Harburg from Finian’s Rainbow) with an a capella Irish lilt, one’s instinct is to turn for a view. The captivating performer is authentic. He exudes warmth and naturalness, immediately gathering in an audience. Though “yet to make a pilgrimage o the motherland,” Connell is 95% Irish. This is St. Patrick’s Day.”

Stephen Mosher – www.broadwayworld.com
“Pride in one’s heritage is a beautiful thing. Not everyone embraces their bloodline, their family history, the origin of their very being, but Tim Connell does. Tim Connell is a proud descendant of people born in Ireland, people whose histories he knows and whose stories he shares but, mostly, Tim Connell is the proud son of Claire Wilson Connell, a woman whose Irish heritage was everything to her, and whose passion for all things Emerald Isle has inspired LUCKY ME, the new musical cabaret that Mr. Connell debuted on St. Patrick’s Day.”
