After a critically successful debut at Pangea in November, Tim Connell returns to Pangea’s cabaret stage for two more shows. The evening includes songs such as The Remedy by Jason Mraz, Summer in Highland Falls by Billy Joel, Playbill by John Bucchino and an interpretation of Cole Porter’s Anything Goes. Joining him will be long-time collaborator Musical Director James Followell at the piano adding his consistently sensitive musicality. The evening is directed by Steven Petrillo.
Alix Cohen – www.womenaroundtown.com “Tim Connell is a find. […] the performer offers reflections on isolation and coming out of it with sensitivity, wit, and intelligence. Material is well chosen, varied in genre, aptly sequenced, and anecdotally resonant. And oh, that lustrous voice!”
Stephen Mosher – www.broadwayworld.com “Mr. Connell has put together a program that [ ] is simply seventy-five minutes of fantastic music and conversation, all of it storytelling-informed, and all of it accessible.”
Holli Harms – www.thefrontrowcenter.com “The powers of a song; the lyrics and inflections, and a voice, a performer who can harness those powers so astutely, so precisely, with clarity and ease, is “Dreamin’ Again” at Pangea and starring creator and performer, the affable, marvelous, and mischievous Tim Connell.”
