Steven Zumbo returns to Pangea on December 2 @ 7:00. As always, he will present an eclectic show of story and song, delivered with his unique, comedic touch and his rich, beautiful voice. You can expect to hear a wide variety of material — pop and musical theatre, novelty numbers and songs from the Great American Songbook…and you may hear some of these in more than one language! The mix of music, comedy, storytelling and personal commentary ranges from touching to hilarious – from Joni Mitchell to Cole Porter, John Lennon to Harry Warren, Neil Sedaka to Stephen Sondheim, Steven Zumbo covers the gamut of love and life, his way. Gerry Dieffenbach is musical director.
Steven Zumbo has appeared at Don’t Tell Mama dozens of times in as many years as well as Pangea, The Duplex and Eighty Eight’s. He is an alum of the Eugene O’Neill Cabaret Symposium where he studied with Julie Wilson, Margaret Whiting, Tex Arnold, and Craig Carnelia. Steven has also appeared on the Today Show with Katie Couric during her “dream job” segment and has performed with Tony Bennett and Ms. Couric at Caroline’s in NYC. Steven Zumbo was the 2020 recipient of the Hanson MAC Award.
