Anne came to New York at 19 and because she played piano and sang she began by working in clubs, graduated to TV shows ie: The Perry Como Show and
many live “Specials,” singing demos for songwriters like Carole King and Burt Bacharach, background on recording sessions, writing and
arranging commercials for Pepsi, Sheraton Hotels (800-325-3535) and writing songs and shows. Her first album “Born to Be Blue,” recorded in 1959, has
become a classic and is still selling. 2024 marked the 39th year of performances of her most wellknown show “Bending Towards the Light ... A Jazz
Nativity” in NY and other cities. At 90 she continues with this one woman show.
“Where has this captivating performer been all our lives? She
answered that question in a most engaging way, linking her songs with a running loosely chronological narrative of her career,
more a one woman show than your typical jazz gig … and her voice is in great shape.” Variety Concert Review from “The Bakery”, Los Angeles
