Lacy Rose returns to Pangea on May 14th with her Starling Quartet and pianist Isaac Hayward for a night of enchanting music. This sumptuous soirée where Baroque meets cabaret will feature original compositions for voice, piano, harmonium and string quartet— including brand new songs and arrangements— as well as surprising covers, and phenomenal musical guests!
Performers include Masha Polishchuk and Kate Goddard (violin), Nicky Kaynor (viola), Maria Jeffers (cello), Lacy Rose (harmonium, vocals), Isaac Hayward (piano), and special musical guests.
Lacy Rose is a NYC-based lyric poet, composer and vocalist who regales listeners with tales of magic, myth, tragic and eternal love. She has opened for and performed with such eclectic artists as Cocorosie, Carol Lipnik, Baby Dee, Dave Malloy, Gelsey Bell, Amanda Palmer, Jason Webley, and Osso String Quartet. With her Starling Quartet, Rose has performed her Baroque Cabaret at venues such as the McKittrick Hotel (home of “Sleep No More”), National Sawdust, the TANK, Owl Music Parlor, HERE Arts Center, the Triad Theater, Rockwood Music Hall, Laurie Beechman Theatre, and Pangea. She recently released her singles, “More and More” and “Sure as the Stars,” surrealistic standards that were recorded and produced by John Agnello (Sonic Youth, Kurt Vile).
