Singer songwriter Carol Lipnik returns to Pangea January 22nd to celebrate the 8th anniversary of her much-lauded performances at the charming East Village club she helped forge as a nexus for experimental cabaret performance. She will be joined by Michael Visceglia -bass and music director, Matt Beck – guitar, lap steel guitar, ukulele, and Mark Bonder – piano and synths, and special guests TBA.

Carol is acclaimed as one of New York’s most individualistic and virtuosic singers. Stephen Holden of The New York Times called her an “ethereal vocal phenomenon.” With her stunning four octave range, subtle wit and charismatic stage presence, she draws equally on 70s art-rock, theater music, Eastern mysticism, opera, and the decaying phantasmagoria of the Coney Island where she was born and raised.

A distinctive songwriter with seven albums to her credit, Lipnik released two acclaimed new albums in 2022: “Blue Forest” and “Goddess of Imperfection” featuring original songs and collaborations with Obie Award-winning playwright/performance artist David Cale and Mexican composer Tareke Ortiz.

CAROL LIPNIK is acclaimed for her hauntingly beautiful multi-octave voice and enchanting performances of her own tenderly wry and wrenchingly honest songs.
