Serena Jost is a Swiss-American artist who writes and performs songs that are at turns seductive, edgy, affecting and from the beyond. A dynamic singer and cellist with a hauntingly beautiful voice, her music evokes vivid emotional landscapes. Her album for solo voice and cello, Up To The Sky, was recorded live at St. Peter’s Church, NYC. Described as “a collection of composed and improvised pieces that marry her distinctive playing style with her otherworldly voice” (NPR), Stereo Embers Magazine also called Jost “the Elizabeth Barrett Browning of avant-classical folk.” In 2024, she and her ensemble performed BLOOM, a staged choreography of song with music, text and movement at Five Myles Gallery. A previous album, A Bird Will Sing, was produced by the legendary Anton Fier (Golden Palominos) and her debut, Closer Than Far, with Brad Albetta (Martha Wainwright). She has performed throughout the US, Canada and Europe. Serena reunites with her longtime stellar collaborators Julian Maile, Rob Jost and Robert DiPietro in a special performance.
