Come to Pangea to celebrate Mafalda Minnozzi’s show for some very important reasons! 1. Mafalda will pay tribute to Elis Regina, Ornella Vanoni, Caetano Veloso, Cole Porter, Edith Piaf and Caterina Valente and some other great “feminine souls” in honor of Itn’l Women’s Day (March 8th) 2. Mafalda’s guitarist and longtime musical director will celebrate a LARGE Birthday on March 11th 3. Brazil’s legendary jazz pianist Helio Alves who has played with everyone from Joe Henderson to Yo-Yo will be together again with Mafalda and Paul after their recent recording session for their new upcoming CD. Look for some new arrangements and exciting improvisations 4. This Brazilian-Italian vocalist has charmed listeners in theaters and festivals in Europe, S.America and here in NY as she builds on her work that has been so heavily featured on WBGO for the past 6 months.
