Virtually every songwriter since time (or at least songwriting) began has used the moon as a subject for a musical composition. In his new show, Tom Judson assembles some of the best and–in some cases—least-known tunes about this heavenly body by which we humans have been enthralled since time (or at least humans) began.
TOM JUDSON has been just about everywhere and done just about everything. Appearing on, off- and off-off-Broadway, he’s been an actor, a writer, a composer and a musician. He’s written magazine columns and starred in adult films. He composed music for an Oscar-nominated movie and traveled the country in a 65-year-old camper. This past September he walked 80 miles on the Cotswold Way in rural England. In three days! If you’ve been to a restaurant in the past 40 years, Tom was probably your waiter. For over a decade he’s served as music director and arranger for the legendary Charles Busch and he now has a successful T-shirt shop on Etsy (Tom’s Trendy Tees). Tom is happy to be performing again at Pangea with his partner in crime, the aforementioned Charles Busch.
