Teri Roiger Quartet celebrates the beautifully complex and soulful compositions of Billy Strayhorn on what would be his 109th birthday!
Teri is most known for her interpretations of the music of Abbey Lincoln, Billy Strayhorn, Billie Holiday and Thelonoius Monk, as well as the Great American Songbook. Her voice, phrasing, tone and time feel create a textured performance, and her band weaves the multi-colored musical tones around her with finesse and spontaneous creativity. Teri’s singing is filled with natural range, color and emotion, yet somehow seems utterly effortless. Tom Staudter (Downbeat)
