The Quintin Harris Trio, with Sam AuBuchon and Marlen Suero-Amparo, is excited to play at Pangea. Hear our Holiday favorites you know and love–as well as new Christmas tunes, including some written by bandleader, Quintin Harris. The QH Trio was formed while they were attending William Paterson University’s Jazz Program where they found a deeper understanding of this music under the tutelage of their mentor, Bill Charlap. Earlier this month, they made their debut in the main room at Birdland Jazz Club, headlining as a Quintet, and have continued to make a name for themselves (both individually and as a trio). Quintin’s hope is to continue his ever-evolving journey of conveying the message through music that words alone cannot fully express. The Quintin Harris Trio is excited to swing your holiday favorites. See you on December 14th at 9:30!
“…a star turn for Mr. Harris…He possesses a rich, lyrical baritone voice. With his fine piano playing and almost dreamy singing, this might have been a hit record in another era.” – Theater Pizzazz
“The trio’s pure instrumental of Henry Mancini’s “Days of Wine and Roses” was a nod to the famous Oscar Peterson arrangement. Starting with a sizzling bass solo by Sam AuBuchon, the trio “traded fours” and really showed off their chops.” — Theater Pizzazz
“Quintin Harris…plays piano in the style of Oscar Peterson and many of the other jazz greats.” — Broadway World
